Catawba Science Center is pleased to invite qualifying families to apply for free memberships, camps, classes, and more! CSC may award scholarships to cover a portion of the cost for families who meet the requirements listed below. The scholarship award is based on eligibility, need, family income, and is pending available funding.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to pre-K through 12th grade families living in Catawba, Caldwell, Burke, Alexander, and Lincoln counties with documented financial need.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Complete this Portal to Science Scholarship Application. All information will be kept confidential. Application must include:

  • Documented proof of financial need. Documentation may include a letter or copy of a card from an official social service agency.

  • Complete income certification and demographic information required for funder reporting purposes.

All materials are due at least 2 weeks prior to the date that your desired program begins. Scholarship recipients will be notified via e-mail.  Please provide a valid e-mail address

IMPORTANT DETAILS: 

• Catawba Science Center strives to serve as many families as possible.  

• Scholarships are limited and will be awarded as funding is available. Family maximums may apply.

• SUMMERFUN CAMP scholarships are limited to 1 full week of camp per child (includes Sunrise Science, SciFun, and Afternoon Adventures) or 1 full week of INNOVATION CAMP per child.

• Awards are non-transferrable, exclusively for 1 week of camp, and must be redeemed in the same week.  

• Families may only receive 1 scholarship award within the same fiscal year, including SummerFun, Homeschool and Membership awards.

2025-26 Homeschool scholarship applications are now closed and awards have all be distributed for this school year.
