Emerald Hills Chess is proud to offer small group online classes and 1:1 lessons with Dublin-raised USCF master, Evan Ai.

Long one of the best players for his age in the country, Evan won the 2019 CalChess Scholastic State HS Championship as a 9th grader, gained the National Master title in 2022, and has defeated multiple IMs and GMs in international competitions.

Capped at a maximum of 6 students, Evan's online classes will help ambitious players hone all aspects of their game, including opening theory, tactical calculations in the middlegame, and positional strategy, to help take their games to the next level.

Evan will also provide personalized game analysis and insight into the modern study tips and tools that helped him.

Targeted at players rated USCF 800+/online 1000+. Grades 4-12. (For our in-person Wed classes for Beginners to Advanced players, click here)

Requirements: 1) Chess.com account; 2) Google Meet. No other equipment is necessary.

Tuesdays, 10 sessions - Sept. 5, 12, 19, 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, Nov. 7, 14

Fridays, 10 sessions - Sept 8, 15, 22, 29, Oct 6, 13, 20, Nov 3, 10, Dec. 1

Cost: $250 $25 discount if registering for more than 1 class or student (max 1).

Sections:

1) High-Performance - for players between USCF 800-1100/online 1000-1500. Tuesdays or Fridays 5-6 PM.

2) Elite - for players USCF 1100-1500+. Tuesdays or Fridays 6:15-7:15 PM.

3) Individual lessons - for aspiring players USCF 1200+. Class times to be arranged by Evan and player. Cost: $50 per 1 hour lesson, in packs of 5 or 10 lessons
