Neartail payment options

Neartail offers a range of payment options. You can enable your preferred payment methods to collect payments from your customers. There are three categories of payment options:

  1. Automated payments

  2. Manual QR code-based payments

  3. Manual instruction-based payments

Automated payments

Automated payments are the most efficient way to handle transactions, ensuring that payments are processed quickly and securely. With automated payment options, the order will be submitted only if the payment is successful. The payments will be made directly to your bank account configured in the setup. We have integrated with Stripe, Paypal and Yoco for automated payments.

  1. Stripe supports payment methods such as credit & debit cards, Apple Pay, Bancontact, Paynow, Cash App, and iDeal.

  2. Paypal supports payment methods such as Paypal and Venmo.

  3. Yoco supports card payments for businesses in South Africa.

Please note Stripe, Yoco, Paypal charges a transaction fee.

Manual QR code-based payments

Automated payments require you to create accounts with payment gateways, which can be a tedious process involving a lot of paperwork. Instead, you can easily get started by using local peer-to-peer payment options such as UPI, Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, and Paynow.

When a user submits the form, Neartail automatically generates a QR code or "Pay Now" button that autofills the amount and merchant details (your account). Please note that you will need to manually reconcile payments by checking the transactions.

Manual instruction-based payments

Neartail also supports manual payments with instructions. You can enable Zelle, Lydia, cash on delivery, bank transfer, check and add the payment instructions.

When the user submits the form, Neartail displays the payment instructions configured in the setup. Users can make the payment and then mark it as paid.

Manual payments: Payment status and reconciliation

Neartail makes it easy to track the status of automated and manual payments.

When the user selects an automated payment option, such as credit or debit cards, and submits the form, the responses will be recorded in Neartail, with the payment status automatically set to "Paid".

When the user selects a manual payment option, such as Paynow, and submits the form, the responses will be recorded in Neartail and the payment details will be displayed. The payment status is marked as "Pending" by default, meaning the payment has not yet been completed. If the user clicks on the “Mark as Paid” button, the payment status will be set to "Paid, not verified". This simply indicates that the user confirm making the payment. Once you verify that the payment has been completed, you can mark the order as "Paid," confirming the transaction.
